It's baffling and deeply saddening to try to make sense of what happened to Haylie and little Gerti. I've been reflecting a lot on the impact this tragedy has on the community, especially knowing how beloved Gerti was with her contagious energy and love for music and dancing. I've read that some community members are planning a candlelight vigil in their memory at the local park. It's really touching to see how everyone is coming together to support Ben and honor the lives lost. Is anyone here planning to attend, or is there any other way we can show support for the family during this incredibly difficult time? My thoughts are with Ben and everyone who knew them.

I've been following the tragedy in Silver Springs, and I keep coming back to little Gerti's love for collecting rocks. It's amazingly touching how something so simple could bring so much joy to a child. In times like this, it reminds me how important it is to appreciate the little things that make life beautiful. My heart really goes out to Ben. Coping with such an immense loss is unimaginable. I hope that through the GoFundMe and the community support, Ben finds some peace and strength. The smallest joy of childhood, like collecting rocks, can carry so much meaning—in a way, it feels like Gerti's joy is a testament to how important it is to cherish life's simple pleasures. Sending thoughts and strength to everyone affected by this tragedy.
