I’ve been thinking a lot about the child who was present during the tragic incident involving Damion Reed and his wife, Rashaan Wallace. It's unimaginable what that little one must be going through, having witnessed such a traumatic event in their own home. Children are incredibly resilient, but exposure to such situations can leave lasting scars.
I really hope that this child receives the support and counseling they need to process what happened and begin to heal. It’s important that the community or family steps up to make sure their needs are met and that they’re surrounded by love and understanding during this incredibly difficult time.
Has there been any word on whether child protective services is involved or if there’s a family member who will take on the role of guardian to provide stability? Sending thoughts to everyone affected by this, especially the child who is caught in the aftermath.
I keep thinking about the child's perspective in all of this—the chaos and confusion they must have experienced. It's truly difficult to fathom. Damion Reed's death is a tragedy, and my thoughts are with his family and loved ones as they process this immense loss. In the midst of it all, there's an innocent child who witnessed things no child should ever see.
I’m concerned about the emotional and psychological impact this will have on them long-term. I hope they're getting the support and care they need to heal from such a traumatic event.
