I came across Alexis Dillard's case while browsing through some old unsolved disappearances, and something about the hitchhiking reports caught my attention. Wasn't there a guy spotted by a few different people trying to catch a ride near the river? I know those sightings were never confirmed, but it makes me wonder if he could've gotten picked up by a stranger. It's such a nerve-racking thought. Could it have been someone pretending to be helpful but really had bad intentions? I know it was a while ago, but has anyone dug into the possibility of any suspicious drivers or vehicles being seen in the area that night? Seems like a possible angle that might have been overlooked. Would love to hear what others think about this hitchhiking aspect!

Does anyone else find the footprint evidence in the Alexis Dillard case a bit puzzling? I mean, if his shoe print was facing away from the Kansas River, what was he doing by the riverbank at all? It's such a weird detail that things don't add up for me. Was he just walking along the river or did something—or someone—spook him away from the water? It feels like an intentional decision to face away like he was headed somewhere. And then there are these unconfirmed reports of him hitchhiking. Could it be possible that he got into a car with someone and things took a dark turn from there? Maybe he was trying to get away from something or someone at the riverbank? I know his friends and family swear by his responsible nature, but what if he was just trying to get back to his dorm safely for some reason? There's just so much to unpack, and yet we're still without any concrete answers. Anyone else have thoughts on this aspect, or heard any updates over the years?

Hi everyone, I’ve been diving into the Alexis Dillard case lately, and I'm curious about an angle that doesn't seem to get as much attention. Has anyone looked into the hitchhiking reports a bit more? I know they were considered unconfirmed, but it seems odd that more than one person mentioned seeing him trying to get a ride that night. It almost feels like a lead that wasn’t pursued hard enough. There might have been some missed connections or potential witnesses who didn’t step forward back then. Also, could weather conditions or visibility have played a part in misidentifying someone else as Alexis that night? Let me know what you think!
