I really hope they have a strong support system around them right now—loving family members or friends who can provide comfort. It's hard not to wonder how this will affect them down the line. As details continue to unfold, I can't help but hold those children in my thoughts. It’s vital that they receive the care and counseling they need to navigate this traumatic experience.
