I've been going through some older unsolved cases in Omaha, and Abel Alvarado's story really caught my attention. It's been over 16 years, and there's so little information available. What's striking is how his case seems to have vanished from the public eye. No updates, no suspects, nothing. You'd think with technology advances since 2008, something more would have been uncovered by now. I can't imagine the pain and frustration his family must feel having no closure or justice for all these years. Does anyone know if there are any local advocacy groups or outreach efforts still working on cold cases like Abel's in Nebraska? It feels like he deserved so much more than to be forgotten.
