Was anyone else taken aback by the audacity of Larry Johnson fleeing the scene immediately after the shooting? It's hard to fathom how he thought running into the woods was a viable escape plan. It really shows a level of desperation or maybe even panic. The fact that the authorities had to conduct such a large-scale search highlights how serious this situation was. Hopefully, this prominent search effort made it clear to everyone that justice for Steven Adkins was being sought relentlessly. My heart goes out to Steven's family, who had to cope with the immediate aftermath while knowing the suspect was on the run. What an unimaginably difficult time for them. I really hope the ongoing investigation helps bring some answers and closure.
