I’ve been following the case of Dennis Frank Svoboda and Larry G. Mansur for years now. One thing I’ve been curious about is the boat they were in that day. Does anyone know more about this Slickcraft runabout boat they were using? The specifics of these boats can be pretty telling. It seems odd that a well-built boat like that, which I’ve heard can withstand quite a bit, hasn’t turned up anywhere. Wouldn’t you think it might have washed up somewhere given the amount of time that’s passed? Something just doesn't add up. I wonder if there was something specific about that part of the river or the boat itself that led to such a complete disappearance. Any thoughts or insights?

Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into Dennis Frank Svoboda’s disappearance, and something I find odd is the boat they were in—this red and white 15-foot Slickcraft runabout. It's strange to me that it just vanished without a trace along with Svoboda. These boats aren’t exactly small, and I’m wondering if anyone else thinks there could have been something unusual about the boat itself. Mechanical issue? Maybe even structural problems? I’ve heard of boats capsizing and vanishing, but you’d think there would be at least some debris found, especially given the timeframe and the area. Does anyone familiar with boating on the Columbia River know if currents could’ve played a role in why nothing has been found? Just trying to piece together possibilities since the boat seems key to this mystery. Any insights would be appreciated!
