I've been following the case of Dawn Vera Kovach and something that's been nagging at me is the role of the anonymous tip that led to Mattix’s arrest. I can't help but think about the brave person who called it in. It's terrifying to imagine what could have happened if that tip didn't come through. While I know that Mattix had a warrant out already, it seems like that tip played a huge role in piecing everything together for the authorities. I often wonder what compels people to step forward and speak up, especially in dangerous situations involving violent individuals. Whoever you are, thank you for your courage—you’ve likely saved others from a similar fate.
Our hearts go out to Dawn’s family and friends. They deserve answers and justice, and I hope anyone else with information comes forward. Every small piece of information can help bring closure and ensure that justice is served.

The hard thing and the right thing are almost always the same. I am glad the tipster did the right thing.

The trial starts Oct. 14th. Hope all goes as it should.

Wanted to update you. Guilty as charged. Sentence up to 100 years. Will have to serve 75% of sentence.
