I’ve been thinking a lot about Chavis Collins, and it just breaks my heart for his family and community. I can’t imagine the pain they’re going through. The thing that’s been on my mind is the location where it happened—Southeast 23rd Street. That neighborhood is usually pretty quiet, so it's shocking to hear about something so violent happening there. Does anyone know if there’s been any increase in crime in that area recently? I feel like understanding the context might help us figure out what led to such a terrible event. If anyone has good insights or updates on safety measures being taken by the community or police, I’d really appreciate hearing about them.
