Just reflecting on the absolute tragedy that struck Keymani A. Davis and his family. It’s honestly so frustrating how another young life has been cut short due to violence. I can't even imagine what his family must be going through right now. Just seeing the community rally with a fundraiser shows how much he was loved, but at the same time, it’s disturbing that we’re still pleading for justice. What really stands out to me is how common these incidents seem to be in areas like Greater Grand Crossing. Why does this keep happening and what can we do as a community to stop these spirals of violence? I hope the detectives can make some headway soon for the sake of everyone involved. Keymani deserved so much better than this. Holding his family close in my thoughts tonight. If anyone has any updates about leads or the investigation, please share!
