I’ve been following the tragic case of Rolando Jose Silva, and something that stands out to me is how long he and the suspect, Larry Jose Lopez, knew each other—25 years is a long time. How well do you really know someone when things end up like this? It's hard to wrap my mind around a friendship or at least an acquaintanceship ending so violently. I can't help but think about Silva's loved ones and how many memories they might have all shared over those years. Did any of this show signs in hindsight? It's a sad reminder of how unpredictable life can be. I hope in time we get a better understanding of what happened here and why.
