I've been following Erik Johnson-Linares' case, and I can't get over how senseless his death seems. I've read through the posts about him, and one thing that stands out is how much he was loved by those around him. I've been reading through everything about Erik Johnson-Linares, and something that's been on my mind is the impact this will have on those who were close to him, especially his family. I can't even begin to imagine how difficult it must be for his parents to cope with such a devastating loss. Dealing with the grief of losing a child is unimaginable. From everything I've read, Erik sounded like such a promising young man with a bright future ahead of him.
I keep thinking about his cousin, Alicia, and the amazing job she's doing trying to raise funds. It’s truly a testament to the love and support Erik had from those around him. No family should have to go through this kind of pain followed by the worry of financial burdens when they should be focusing on healing.
I hope the community continues to rally around them, offering whatever support they can. And let's not forget the importance of anyone with information coming forward to help the cops piece this together. Erik deserves justice, and his family deserves answers.
