Hey everyone, I've been following the Deandre Ames case, and something that's been bothering me is the time of day this tragedy occurred. Broad daylight, 3 p.m., on a relatively busy street in a Chicago neighborhood. It makes me wonder about witnesses. Has anyone heard if any locals have come forward with statements or if there’s any surveillance footage from nearby businesses or homes? People often feel hesitant to talk, but surely someone must have seen or heard something. My thoughts are with Deandre’s family and friends. The sheer randomness and brazenness of this act must be so difficult for them to process. Hoping they find some closure and that justice is served soon. Stay safe, everyone.

It's truly sobering to read about the tragic fate of Deandre Ames. I can't help but think about how fragile life is and how it can change in the blink of an eye. Just living his life, likely going about his day, and then for his life to be cut short in such a violent manner—it's tough to wrap my head around. I hope his loved ones find the strength to get through this monumental loss. What really gets me is the lack of leads or progress in the case. In a neighborhood as busy as West Pullman, you’d think someone must have seen something! It seems like we've all become so desensitized to this kind of violence that fewer people are willing to come forward with information. I truly hope witnesses find the courage to speak up so Deandre’s family can find some semblance of justice. If anyone in the area knows something, it would mean the world to his family and friends for them to come forward. Let's hope for some significant breakthroughs soon.
