I've been reading up on the history of the area south of Arsenal Tech High School, trying to understand if systemic issues have contributed to this tragedy. The neighborhood is really tight-knit, and I can only imagine how this act of violence has disrupted the sense of community that people worked hard to build. I’m hopeful that as the investigation continues, there will be answers not only for those who knew Andre but also for the people of Indianapolis. We need to work together to find solutions that can prevent these tragic incidents and help communities heal. Keeping Andre’s memory alive means advocating for peace and support for those left behind.
