I’ve been following the case of Nico Rector from the beginning, and it's been heavy on my heart. I recently read about Derrick Stokes-Seegars being arrested. It’s unsettling to think that such a tragedy unfolded in the Navy Yard, a place where people go about their daily lives expecting safety and normalcy. From what I gather, the police are still piecing together the events, but I can't help but wonder what led to this senseless act of violence. Knowing that Stokes-Seegars is in custody provides some relief, yet it raises more questions about what truly happened that night. I'm really hoping more witnesses will come forward with information. The community and especially Nico’s family deserve clarity and justice. To anyone who may have been in the area that night, even if you think what you saw wasn’t important, please reach out to the authorities. Every little bit counts in helping put together the full story. My thoughts are with Nico's loved ones as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.
