It's been quite some time since Donovan Rodriguez and Donald Schaller vanished over Lake Michigan, and I'm beginning to think that Mother Nature might still be holding onto the answers. Given the complexity of sonar technology, I wonder if it's possible that something as minor as lake sediment movement could be obscuring the wreckage. Lake Michigan is notorious for shifting sands and currents, and over two decades is enough time for even large objects to be buried or moved. I just read about how some shipwrecks resurface or get reburied depending on the lake conditions. Could this be the reason why previous searches came up empty-handed? I think another search with updated technology could finally lead to some answers. What do you guys think?

Anyone else find it strange that the plane disappeared without a trace over such a heavily trafficked area like northern Lake Michigan during peak summer? I get that the lakes are vast, but you'd think with so many people out and about, someone would have seen or heard something more definitive. Especially with folks reporting an explosion—where's the evidence? Makes you wonder if there was something more at play or if the conditions that day somehow played a role. The sonar scan in 2008 gave a glimmer of hope, but it's so frustrating knowing that even advanced tech couldn't provide answers. For a guy as experienced as Donovan Rodriguez, expectations were high for a safe flight, so the silence surrounding this case is eerie. Anyone else hear if they've planned any follow-up searches since then?

Does anyone else find it strange how little debris was actually found after Donovan Rodriguez's plane disappeared? I’ve been diving into similar cases, and usually, there's at least some trace of the aircraft or an oil sheen on the water. Given the reported explosion witnesses heard, wouldn’t there be more evidence floating or even washed ashore? I understand Lake Michigan is vast, but with the technology we have now, you’d think something could be detected. The 2008 sonar scan is intriguing but seems like such a frustrating dead-end. It makes me wonder if something else might have happened that we’re not considering yet. Thoughts?
