Has anyone else been following the case of Erian Sandoval on I-10? It's such a tragic situation. I've been thinking a lot about the impact this will have on his family and friends. Can you imagine losing someone like that so suddenly and publicly? My heart goes out to them. What really gets me is the shooter exiting the freeway and immediately calling 911. It makes me wonder what was going through his head. Did he panic or genuinely believe that what he did was necessary? It’s a haunting thought that these split-second decisions have lifelong consequences for everyone involved. And then there's the question of self-defense. I understand Arizona’s laws are quite complex regarding the use of deadly force. I’m curious about how this will play out legally. It'll be interesting, yet difficult, to see whether or not the actions are considered justified in court. I hope the truth comes out so both families can find some semblance of closure.

Has anyone else thought about the mental toll this kind of road violence takes on those who witness it? I can’t even imagine what the other drivers who saw this unfold are going through. Being caught in rush hour traffic is stressful enough without witnessing such an intense and tragic event. It must have been terrifying for them to watch the situation escalate so quickly and end so tragically. I hope they’re all able to find some peace after such a traumatic experience. And poor Erian Sandoval’s family, having to deal with this immense loss—my heart goes out to them. Has anyone seen if the state offers counseling for these types of situations? I think it might really help those affected start processing what they witnessed.
