I’ve been following the case of Autumn Monea Mack, and something that keeps coming to mind is the tragic setting where this happened—a storage unit. It’s difficult to imagine how a place associated with keeping things safe could become the site of such a tragedy. It seems like we often hear about arguments escalating in public places, but this setting feels particularly isolating and chilling. I’m thinking of Autumn’s loved ones and how they must be grappling with this unimaginable loss. I hope that as the investigation continues, the full story will come out and provide some form of closure, though nothing could ever truly make up for such a loss. Rest in peace, Autumn.
