It's truly unsettling to think about the case of Willie Mae Bivins and the circumstances surrounding her untimely death. I recently came across a discussion about her case and was struck by the details regarding the heavyset man with a cast who was last seen with her. It's strange how such a specific detail could have been overlooked or not thoroughly pursued during the initial investigation. Did anyone find out more about this man—whether he was ever identified or if he was connected to Harris beyond that night?
It's haunting to think that Willie Mae might have been taken advantage of when someone should have been offering her help. The fact that the Florida Department of Law Enforcement reopened the investigation in 2020 gives me hope that there might be justice, even if it's delayed. It's a reminder of the tireless efforts needed in cold cases and how crucial it is to keep the memory of the victim alive in the quest for answers. Thoughts are with Willie's family and friends; they deserve closure after all these years.
Hey everyone, just came across this case of Willie Mae Bivins from back in the 80s. One thing that's really sticking with me is the vehicle she was last seen getting into—a 1970s-style sedan with that mysterious man. It feels like there are so many questions around the car itself. Did it belong to Harris, or are there records of him borrowing or renting cars? I keep wondering if authorities were able to track down any details about the car. It's such a long time ago, but sometimes those small details can make a big difference, even years later. My heart goes out to Willie Mae's family; it must be so hard not having complete closure all these years. If anyone knows more about how they went about tracking vehicles back then, it would be interesting to hear. ?️
