I’ve been following the case of Gary Smith and can’t help but feel deeply for his family and loved ones who have had to grapple with such a traumatic loss. I’ve seen discussions about the crime scene and Kuklinski’s brutal methods, but what really struck me recently was how Gary was just left there for days in that motel room. It’s chilling to think about all the innocent people who unwittingly stayed in that room, unaware they were so close to such a tragic ending. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain and horror his family must have experienced after learning about the circumstances surrounding his death. It's just so tragic that it took such a horrific event to start unveiling Kuklinski’s crimes. It’s crucial that we keep discussing these cases and acknowledge the impact on the victims’ families.
