I’ve been combing through details about the New Britain serial killings, and something struck me about the locations where these remains were found. Diane Cusack, along with the others, was discovered in a densely wooded area behind a shopping plaza on Hartford Road. It seems like such a public place in one sense, but also isolated enough to serve Howell’s twisted agenda. I lived not too far from there for a while, and honestly, I can't imagine the horror of knowing what was hidden just out of sight. It's chilling to think about how someone could carry out such horrific acts and then go about their life as if nothing happened. My heart goes out to all the families affected. I can only hope that improving public safety and awareness can prevent such tragedies in the future. Anyone else familiar with the area or have thoughts on why this spot might have been chosen?
