Just stumbled upon the story of Robert Latimer while diving into the twisted tale of H.H. Holmes, and it left me with more questions than answers. It's astonishing how Holmes weaved such a chilling narrative, but then again, he was a master manipulator. The part about Latimer possibly working as a flagman after his supposed demise really throws a wrench in the whole confession thing. If true, it makes me wonder if Holmes was just embellishing to inflate his own notoriety. For Latimer's family, if there's any truth to him surviving, it's a small comfort amidst the horror, but also terrifying to think he might've lived under Holmes's shadow of evil. It must be incredibly distressing not having closure on how or why your loved one's name got tangled with such an infamous figure. Anyone else have any thoughts or insights on the validity of Holmes's confessions? There's got to be more to this than what meets the eye.

I've been following the H.H. Holmes case for a while, and I find the situation with Robert Latimer particularly unsettling. It's hard not to feel for his family, knowing they might never have closure. The conflicting information about whether Latimer was indeed one of Holmes's victims is confusing, to say the least. Having reports claiming Latimer was alive after the supposed murder is a bizarre twist. It just makes me wonder about Holmes's confessions overall—how much was reality, and how much was fiction designed to add to his infamy? If Holmes was fabricating some details, it's truly troubling how he could manipulate narratives like this. It certainly makes it difficult for those left behind to know what really happened. Every time new "revelations" come up, I imagine it must feel like going through the emotional turmoil all over again for the families. I hope someday the truth comes to light, if only to bring a bit of peace to those touched by these crimes. What do you all think? Is there any hope of getting to the bottom of Latimer's true fate?
