One aspect of the Denise Swanson case that gets me is how similar the pattern of crimes was, yet it took Harris's arrest in Jackson for such breakthroughs to happen. The tactics he used were like a blueprint—targeting elderly women, entering their homes, the assault, and then murder. It's chilling to think this pattern went unnoticed until then. Swanson's case, like the others, should remind us of how vulnerable some members of our community are. It's both sad and terrifying how swiftly one person can exploit this vulnerability. Props to those who came forward with evidence and testimony. It couldn't have been easy, but their courage was pivotal in bringing about justice and preventing more tragedies. ??
