I’ve been following this tragic case and can’t get over just how devastating it must have been for the families involved. Reading about Devin Galley, the young boy taken far too soon, makes my heart ache for his loved ones who continue to feel the void of his loss. The bravery of the officers who managed to capture Hankins after that intense five-hour standoff is commendable, but it also highlights just how chilling and dangerous he was. It's deeply unsettling to think about what more might have happened had he not been apprehended then. Holding space in my heart for all those affected by such senseless violence and hoping they have found some semblance of peace in the aftermath.
