I’ve been following the case of Steven Michael Fefferman for a while, and one aspect that really stands out to me is how his murder not only shocked his friends and family but also cast a spotlight on the vulnerability of young professionals living in urban areas during that era. It’s chilling to think about how Fefferman, just going about his life as a successful advertising executive, could end up falling victim to such a brutal crime. It’s a somber reminder of how quickly a seemingly normal situation can turn dangerous. Knowing that Green was able to evade capture for so long makes me wonder about the challenges law enforcement faced back then in connecting the dots. It’s a grim chapter in true crime history, but it also shows the importance of familial and community support in seeking justice. I hope that Fefferman’s loved ones have found some peace over the years. Has anyone else found any more info about how this case affected the DFW area's perception of safety during the late 80s? It’s hard to imagine how the community dealt with such terror at the time.
