Does anyone else feel uneasy about how long it took to even consider John Getreu as a suspect in Theresa Smith's case? I mean, the guy lived just two blocks away and had already been convicted of other homicides. It's so unsettling to think that he could have been right there, blending into the community for all these years while Theresa's family was left without answers. My heart goes out to them—nobody should have to wait decades for any semblance of justice. Kudos to Grace Kahng and her team for their investigative work, but it makes me wonder how many other cases like this are still out there, waiting for someone to connect the dots.
