I've been diving deep into the mystery of Ray Burgess and Victor Travis and stumbled upon a curious detail that often gets overshadowed. Both men disappeared in 1952, which was right around the time Ed Gein was active in the same area, but sparse connections exist between his confirmed crimes and their disappearance. What I find intriguing is that their case was treated as just another disappearance back then, possibly because there wasn't enough to tie it to Gein. Something that keeps me pondering is the sheer absence of any physical evidence. No car, no personal items, nothing. It’s almost like they vanished into thin air. It makes you wonder if their disappearance could have been the work of someone who was extremely careful or perhaps familiar with avoiding detection. One can't help but feel for the families left in limbo. Not knowing what happened to Ray and Victor must have been torture for them. It’s strange to think how much can remain hidden in the shadows, despite time passing. If anyone else has looked into this, I’d love to hear your thoughts or any theories you might have!
