I've been thinking a lot about how Maria Bruno had just started a new chapter in her life, only to have it end so tragically. Moving into a new apartment is supposed to be exciting and full of promise, especially when you're trying to create a safe and happy environment for your children after a tough separation. It's so unsettling to think that someone she might have seen as an ordinary neighbor turned out to be a predator capable of such horror. It makes me wonder about the small interactions we all have daily, and how vigilant we need to be about the people in our community. It's terrifying to think that someone could be watching and planning something so malicious. My heart goes out to Maria’s family and her children, who have to live on without her because of this monster. I just hope that they’ve found some comfort in the justice system finally catching up with that evil man.
