I recently came across a chilling piece of information while researching the Mad Butcher of West Virginia case, and I can't shake it off. It was about the discovery of Mike Rogers' remains in that duffel bag back in December 1962, nearly Christmas time. Just thinking about how his family must have gone through the holiday season that year is deeply saddening. It must have been incredibly difficult for them, facing such a terrifying loss during a time that's usually filled with joy and togetherness. I can't help but wonder if any of Mike's family are still around and if they or their descendants continue hoping for closure. It feels like there's so much unsaid between those lines of history, especially about the impact on the families left grieving. If anyone has more info or sources about his family or how they've been affected over the decades, I'd be really interested to know. This case is more than just a mystery; it's a haunting reminder of the lives left in limbo.
