Does anyone else find it eerie how meticulously planned the attack on the Groene family was? It’s terrifying to think about the level of premeditation that went into it. I’m trying to wrap my head around how someone can drive by a home, see children playing, and decide to stalk and plan such a horrific act. Slade was so young, just starting out in life, and it’s heartbreaking for his friends and family to have lost him in such a violent manner. I can’t imagine the pain Shasta must live with, having survived such an ordeal. My thoughts are with her and everyone affected by these unimaginable events. Why do you think the justice system didn't manage to prevent a repeat offender like Duncan from causing so much harm again?
Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about the brave efforts of the investigators who worked tirelessly on the Groene family case in Coeur d'Alene. It must have been incredibly difficult for those dedicated professionals to process such a horrific crime scene and track down a perpetrator as dangerous as Joseph Duncan. I can't imagine the pressure they felt knowing time was of the essence, especially with Shasta and Dylan's lives hanging in the balance. I'm grateful for their persistence and determination in bringing justice for Slade, Brenda, and Mark, and for ultimately rescuing Shasta. This case is a stark reminder of the vital role law enforcement plays in our communities, and my heart goes out to them for the emotional toll this must have taken.
Would love to hear your thoughts or any additional insights on how these incredible investigators handle such intense situations.
Stay safe, everyone.
