I’ve been thinking a lot about the witness who saw Mitchell Johnson with a white man before he was found murdered. Can you imagine being that witness and realizing you might have had a piece of the puzzle to catch a serial killer? It must be so haunting to know something you saw firsthand is tied to such a tragic series of events. I hope this witness doesn’t carry any guilt; they did the right thing by coming forward. It's deeply unsettling to consider how the witness's account aligned with the pattern of the other cases, yet it still took years before Dominique was apprehended. The composite sketch was a vital lead, but it hurts to think about how precious time ticked away before justice was served. My heart goes out to Mitchell's family and the families of the other victims; they had to wait so long for some measure of closure.
