I've been thinking a lot about Earl Young's case, especially after learning about Charles Cullen's horrendous actions. It's so disturbing to think that someone like Cullen, who was trusted to care for vulnerable patients, ended up betraying that trust in the worst possible way. It must be incredibly difficult for Earl's family and friends to process the fact that his life was taken in such a cruel and deceitful manner. I wonder what kind of oversight, if any, was in place at the time that allowed Cullen to continue his deadly behavior for so long. It seems there were so many missed opportunities to stop him. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy, and I hope they've found some peace over the years.
