In the late spring of 1996, the life of a quiet and easygoing man from Raritan Township, New Jersey, came to an unexpected and tragic end. Seventy-six-year-old Earl Young, a stock clerk at Flemington Cut Glass, was admitted to the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington. His time at the hospital, however, would be his last, as he died on May 31, 1996. For years, the precise circumstances of his passing remained obscured, a quiet tragedy among many in the sterile halls of a medical facility.
