It's been over a decade since Gary Canamore was tragically taken from his loved ones, and it amazes me how cases like this can remain unsolved for so long. I grew up in a neighborhood not far from Farlin Avenue, and the sense of fear and vulnerability was something we all felt at that time. Knowing someone from our community lost their life to senseless violence really hit hard.
I think about his family often and can't imagine the pain they've endured, hoping for answers that never seem to come. The lack of closure must be incredibly difficult to bear. It's so important for anyone who might have information, no matter how insignificant it seems, to step forward. Every bit counts in helping to piece together what happened that morning.
The violence in St. Louis around 2008 was intense, and I hope we continue to find ways to make our streets safer. Gary deserves justice, and his family deserves peace. If you know anything, please reach out to the authorities. Let's try to bring some resolution not just for Gary but for everyone who loved him.
It’s really frustrating how cases like Gary Canamore’s still remain unsolved. I was reading about this tragic incident that happened way back in 2008 in the Farlin Avenue area, and it’s shocking how little progress has been made despite all the resources invested. I can’t even begin to imagine how Gary’s family has been coping all these years, not knowing who took his life.
I know St. Louis has had its share of challenges with gun violence, but it seems that this specific case, among others, has really slipped through the cracks. I wonder if there’s something specific about that neighborhood or the circumstances of Gary's death that made it so difficult for investigators to pin down a suspect.
If anyone reading this remembers something, however minor it seems, please consider reaching out to the authorities. It’s these small bits of information that can sometimes break open a cold case. Hoping one day soon we can hear about some positive news regarding justice for Gary and closure for his loved ones.
