Hi everyone,
I've been diving into the Victoria Rhone case, and something that's been weighing on my mind is the potential mismatch between the severity of Scott William Cox's crimes and his relatively short prison sentence. I understand he served 20 years, but considering the brutal nature of these murders and the suspicions that he could be linked to so many more, it feels like a mere drop in the bucket of what justice should be. It's unsettling to think that such a dangerous individual was allowed back into society, even with supervision.
I can't imagine how Victoria's loved ones felt knowing her killer was walking free after such a relatively short time. It just seems like the justice system let them down, especially when you consider there could be more victims yet to be known. Curious to hear what others think about the sentencing and if it adequately addresses the severity of his crimes and the potential for more victims. What other measures do you think should be in place to monitor someone like Cox post-release?
Thinking of all the families who might still be seeking answers and hoping they find the closure they deserve.
Stay safe, everyone.
