Has anyone else been thinking about the immense strength Jackie's family must have had to endure all these years of not knowing? It’s one thing to lose someone so precious, but the uncertainty of an unsolved case must have been an endless source of pain for them. I can only imagine the relief and sorrow they felt when Cottingham confessed. It’s a reminder of how resilient people can be in the face of such inexplicable tragedy. I hope they’ve found some measure of peace in finally having answers, even if they came so many years later. Anyone else have thoughts on how communities handle these prolonged cases? It's overwhelming to think about how time doesn't always heal these wounds.
