Does anyone have any information about the type of supervision or security at Matewan State Hospital back in the early 70s? It’s really troubling to think about Caputo getting an illegal furlough. Given his violent tendencies and history, how could something like this have happened? My heart goes out to Nathalie Brown's family who have to relive this nightmare, knowing he went on to take more lives after escaping. I'm curious whether there were any changes made in procedure at the hospital after such a heinous violation.
