Has anyone else looked into the timeline of when Dallen Bounds visited Sandra Ott's apartment just after Karen Hayden's tragic murder? It's chilling to think about how quickly he moved from one horrific act to another. Given the proximity of events, it seems like there was an intensity to his actions, almost as if he was spiraling and becoming more unpredictable. When Sandra paged her ex-husband with "911," it was probably a desperate attempt for help. My thoughts are really with the families of all involved—I can't imagine the fear and loss they went through, especially knowing what they do now about Bounds. Would love to hear other perspectives on how this bizarre sequence of events unfolded and whether there's anything more known about his state of mind at the time.
Has anyone else been thinking about the role of businesses in these tragedies? It's just so chilling to think that Karen was at work, doing what she probably did every day, surrounded by flowers, and yet something so horrific happened in what you'd consider a typically serene environment. I wonder if the florist shop had any security measures in place back then. It makes me think about how businesses could support and protect employees better. Maybe more could be done to ensure there's a way for staff to call for help discreetly in an emergency. It's just a thought that's been on my mind while diving deeper into this case. My heart truly goes out to Karen's family and all those affected by these events.
It's been a heavy heart going through the details of Karen Hayden's tragic death. Such a senseless loss of a bright, young life indeed. Something that's been puzzling me is the locked door on that fateful afternoon. For a customer to find the shop with the lights off and a "closed" sign up in the middle of the workday is so unsettling. It makes me wonder what transpired in those moments leading up to it. Was Karen trying to protect herself or maybe signaling for help in some way? My heart truly goes out to her family and friends who undoubtedly wish they had answers to these haunting questions. Darkness in broad daylight, I can only imagine the terror and confusion she might have felt. I hope they find some peace knowing her story has touched many and that justice was eventually served, even if not in the way they'd hoped.
