Hey everyone, I’ve been following Montez "Birdie" Rodriquez's case, and I can't stop thinking about the impact this has had on his friends and teammates from his basketball days. He was clearly passionate about the sport, and it seems like he had a real knack for bringing people together on and off the court. I can only imagine how devastating it must be for those who played alongside him. I’ve seen in other cases how communities sometimes organize basketball games or tournaments in memory of someone they’ve lost. Maybe that could be a way for Montez’s friends and family to come together, celebrate his life, and keep his memory alive in a way that reflects his love for the game. Has anyone else heard of or been involved in setting up something like this? Just thinking out loud here, but it might be a small way to honor his spirit. Sending all my thoughts to Montez's family, friends, and everyone who knew him. It's so clear how much he meant to those around him. Stay strong, everyone.

Hey everyone, I’ve been following Birdie’s case and something that sticks out to me is the impact on his son. It’s devastating to think about that little boy growing up without his father. From what I’ve read, Montez seemed like he deeply cared for his family, and I can't help but imagine how difficult this must be for them, especially his child. I wonder if his family has any support systems in place for the kid or if the community has rallied around them during this tough time. If anyone has any updates on events or memorials in Kansas City dedicated to Montez, I’d love to hear about them. I think it’s important to keep his memory alive, not just for justice, but also to remember the joy he brought into the world.
