Did anyone else find it odd that Lydia Trueblood managed to keep getting husbands to marry her despite the suspicious circumstances of her past? I mean, it just makes you wonder how she was able to gain the trust of those men so quickly. Especially considering that her reputation might have preceded her at that point. It's really tragic thinking about Edward Meyer's family and the families of her other victims who believed their loved ones had found happiness with her, only to lose them in such a terrible way. It's a chilling reminder to look beyond appearances and be aware of warning signs, especially when large sums like life insurance are involved. My thoughts are with the victims' families who had to live through this series of betrayals.
