I was reading about Matthew Holmes' case again, and one thing that really sticks out to me is the fact that he planned to jump trains to get to Mexico. It makes me wonder if he might have run into trouble on the tracks before even making it to the border. It's dangerous, especially if you're not experienced. Does anyone know if they checked train yards or talked to other folks who might have been traveling the same way around that time? There's so much uncertainty with this kind of travel. Just curious if anyone's looked into those possibilities.
Hey everyone, I wanted to bring up a point I haven't seen much discussion on regarding Matthew Holmes. I was thinking about the gaps in communication he had, not just with his family, but reportedly with everyone else as well. It's really strange that he went completely off the radar and only his attempt to reach Mexico was mentioned. Do you think there might have been unreported reasons or circumstances for his decision to cut off contact? Maybe someone out here knows more about how he was doing socially just before he disappeared? It often feels like this part of his story is overlooked. It could help us understand his state of mind and what might have prompted such a drastic move. Just throwing it out there in hopes it triggers a memory or thought for someone who knew him back then.
