I've been reading about the tragic events surrounding Deputy Scott's death, and something that stands out to me is the fact that this all took place during the Fort Worth Fat Stock Show. It's supposed to be a time of celebration and community gathering, but it was overshadowed by such a senseless act of violence. It just goes to show how quickly life can take a turn. My heart goes out to Deputy Scott’s family and everyone who attended the show that day, expecting nothing more than a festive day out. It must have been incredibly traumatic for those who witnessed the pursuit and the aftermath. The way the community came together in mourning and respect, shutting down businesses and county offices, speaks volumes about his impact and the shared grief of losing someone so dedicated. What an incredibly brave soul Deputy Scott was, serving with such courage despite the dangers.
