I’ve been thinking a lot about the timeline that led up to Shelia’s tragic death, especially regarding the police reports she filed. It's incredibly frustrating to imagine what she must have been going through, knowing the danger she faced while trying to get help. I wonder if those reports contained enough detail or evidence that could have prompted a stronger response from law enforcement before things escalated. Could there have been a breakdown in communication or prioritization of the threat? It’s heartbreaking to know that despite her efforts, Shelia’s life was not safeguarded. My heart goes out to her family and friends; they’ve been through so much. I hope this case continues to prompt changes in how threats and domestic violence are handled by authorities. Shelia deserved so much more protection.
