I've been reading through the details of the tragic case involving Lois Fields and Darryl Sneed, and one aspect that stands out to me is the impact on the Narcotics Anonymous community. Imagine being part of a group where you're seeking solace, healing, and strength, yet having to endure such a harrowing event among people you trust. It’s a reminder of how vulnerable we are even within spaces intended for healing. I feel deeply for Lois's children and family—her loss is immeasurable, and I hope they’ve been able to find some peace despite everything. It’s also heartbreaking for the entire NA group that was supposed to be a place of refuge. Darryl and Lois' fellow members must have been deeply shaken. I hope the community received the support and care needed to process and heal from this devastating event. Does anyone have any insights on how support groups handle trauma when incidents like this occur? How can they rebuild trust?
