I’ve been thinking a lot about the family of Michael Grant Cahill and what they’re going through even now, years after the tragic events at Fort Hood. It’s hard to imagine the pain they've faced, not just losing a loved one, but knowing he died trying to save others. The courage it must have taken to make that choice in such a terrifying moment speaks volumes about who Michael was as a person. His heroic actions show the depths of his character and love for his fellow soldiers. I truly hope that his family finds comfort and strength in the legacy he left behind and the recognition of his bravery. It's important we continue to honor his memory and support those he cared for so deeply.
