I've been thinking a lot about the tragic passing of Alexandria Lee Courtney-Dean and the impact it must have had on her siblings. I cannot even imagine the pain that Chance, Zachary, Alexis, and Brooklyn must be feeling. Losing a sibling is incredibly hard, especially in such a tragic way.
I wonder how they are coping and if any support systems are in place for them now. It's heartbreaking to think about the residual effects this has on their young lives. I'm hoping that they are receiving counseling and that there is a network of people rallying around them during this difficult time. It's crucial for communities to come together and offer support and resources to families enduring such an unimaginable loss. Keeping Alexandria and her family in my thoughts.
Has anyone else been following the Alexandria Lee Courtney-Dean case from Post, Texas? I can't stop thinking about the role of Child Protective Services. They reportedly investigated the family back in 2013 and then closed the case after Ashlee completed some services. It's so tragic to think that little Alexandria's life could have been saved if different actions were taken. Maybe more frequent follow-ups or support could have made a difference. It just makes me wonder about the overall effectiveness of CPS's interventions, not just in this case but in others where there are known risks. My heart goes out to Alexandria's siblings and family who are left trying to process this unimaginable loss. Does anyone have insight on CPS protocols in situations like this?
