I’ve been following the Michael Mayo case closely, and one detail I find hard to shake off is the role his girlfriend played during those tense moments at the Southwest Center Mall. Witness accounts mention her screaming during the gunfire, and I can’t help but think about the trauma she must be going through. Being there and witnessing such a raw and devastating moment must have been terrifying. I wonder if she’s been in touch with any support services to help her process what happened. It’s easy to discuss the facts and investigation, but we can't forget those indirectly affected by such tragic events. My thoughts are with her as she navigates life after experiencing something no one should ever have to face.
Just came across this case, and I can't stop thinking about the impact on Michael Mayo's girlfriend who witnessed everything. I imagine being in that position must have been terrifying and emotionally scarring. From reading, it seems she was right there during the intense moments, all the chaos and confusion before Michael was shot. It's sad to think about the trauma she might be dealing with now. Also, for those of you who've read through witness accounts, how often does it happen that videos from bystanders actually help in such cases? I feel like those clips can sometimes provide a different perspective on what really went down. Sending thoughts to all involved, especially those directly affected by that tragic day. ?
