Hi everyone, I've been following the Kamdar case, and I can't stop thinking about their daughter making that emergency call. It must have been terrifying and heartbreaking for her. I can’t even imagine the strength it took for a 15-year-old to do that, especially after experiencing something so traumatic. She's clearly very brave. It's also reassuring to know that Child Protective Services and the schools have stepped in to provide the necessary support and counseling. It's crucial for these kids to have a solid support system as they navigate through this. Does anyone know if there's been any effort in the community to raise funds or provide support for the surviving children? It seems like they are going to need a lot of help moving forward, and I'd love to pitch in or help spread the word. Any info would be appreciated. Stay kind and supportive, A concerned member

I recently came across this tragic case involving the Kamdar family, and it deeply moved me. What stuck with me is how much this must have impacted the community surrounding the American Heritage Academy and Child Care. As a childcare center, it was a place where parents felt safe leaving their kids, knowing they'd be nurtured and protected by Nikhat Kamdar and her team. I can't even begin to imagine how the families who sent their children there are feeling, knowing such a terrible tragedy struck someone they likely interacted with on a daily basis. The strength it must take for the parents and staff to reassure and comfort the children in their care after something like this is immense. I hope the community is banding together to support everyone impacted, especially given that Nikhat was such a prominent figure with these young families. To those who knew her and were part of her daycare "family," my heart goes out to you. It's moments like these that remind us of the importance of community support and compassion. Has anyone heard if the daycare is still open or if there's been any memorial held for Nikhat?
