I've been following Jonathan Cook's case closely, and something that's been on my mind is the role of training for security personnel like Robert Earl Goins. It's just so shocking to think that a birthday celebration could end in such tragedy. Goins was there to protect the property, but at what cost? It makes me wonder how much training or guidance he had on when it's right to escalate that far. What criteria are security guards supposed to use in determining when lethal force is necessary? It seems like a critical oversight that needs addressing urgently. My thoughts go out to Jonathan's family and friends who are still grappling with this unimaginable loss. No family should have to deal with such senseless violence. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on how we might push for better training standards to prevent incidents like this from happening again.
