I’ve been following Marcel DeAndre Nelson’s case for a while now, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. It’s especially tough knowing how close he was with his community, and how he was always described as someone with a kind heart. I can’t imagine what his family went through during the funeral services or how they felt seeing so many people come together to remember Marcel at Beyond the Four Walls Church.
It really highlights how much Marcel meant to everyone around him. It's been over a decade since that somber day at Blue Ridge Lawn Cemetery, and it haunts me to think his family still doesn’t have closure. It’s important we keep sharing his story and urging anyone with info to reach out to the Kansas City PD or Crime Stoppers. If you know anything, even the smallest detail could make a difference. Let’s keep Marcel in our thoughts and keep the pressure on for justice. He deserves it, and so do those who miss him dearly.
I’ve been following Marcel DeAndre Nelson’s case since it happened, and I can’t stop thinking about how his family must feel after all this time has passed without any answers. One thing that stood out to me was the location where it happened – near Linwood and 71 Highway. That area has been troubled by crime, but this just feels so personal when you realize someone’s life was cut short there. It makes me wonder if anyone local might have seen or heard something that night. I hope if there’s anyone out there who knows anything, they feel compelled to step forward. His family deserves closure, and it’s so painful to think they’re still waiting for justice more than a decade later. My thoughts are with them as they continue to navigate this unimaginable loss.
